There's a beautiful walk along the water that goes to the base of the Golden Gate bridge. If you're feeling like a long walk, you can just keep going across the bridge. Lots of wildlife (birds, sometimes seals) and breathtaking views of the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz, Marin Headlands. You can also watch the windsurfers and boats.

There's a beautiful walk along the water that goes to the base of the Golden Gate bridge. If you're feeling like a long walk, you can just keep going across the bridge. Lots of wildlife (birds, sometimes seals) and breathtaking views of the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz, Marin Headlands. You can also watch the windsurfers and boats.

Alcatraz is really interesting, and offers amazing views. Book early, it sells out. When you arrive, you get to tour the actual prison (with a great audio tour), and just wander around and enjoy the views. There is a night tour that is supposed to be great (but we've never done it).

It's so iconic for a reason! If you're up for a long walk, start at Crissy field, and walk along the bay to the base of the bridge, then across. For a shorter walk you can just walk the bridge itself.

It's literally right around the corner, and offers top-notch Salvadoran cuisine. If you've never tried a pupusa, we strongly recommend them! We frequently call and order Pupusas to bring home. Affordable and close!
