Great food, low prices, amazingly quiet and cozy patio off of the main drag. One of our favorite places. A quick walk from the condo if you use the pedestrian railway crossing. Definitely try the burger! We highly recommend this pub over the Grizzly Paw which has mediocre food, high prices, and generally poor service.

In our building. Delicious food by head chef, Air Bouphasiry. It’s kinda Asian fusion, but from a classically trained French and Italian chef. It’s a must try. Order the stuffed chicken wings – amazing! Also has great cocktails.

Parks & Nature

A beautiful scenic area where you can spend the afternoon. Rent a canoe or hike to the tea house in the summer. Walk along the lake or book a dog sled tour in the winter. Parking can be crazy in the summer, especially during long weekends so it’s a good idea to go early or during the week.

Perfect for the whole family, this moderate hike is about 5km round-trip and ends with stunning views of the lake. It can be busier on the weekends, so hit the trail during the week if you want a more secluded experience. Bear spray is recommend.

Sightseeing

Sulphur Mountain Gondola – Hike or take the gondola up the mountain for stunning 360 degree views. There is an easy walkway at the top that highlights some of the area’s history and is great for taking pictures. There is also a bistro there but we don’t recommend eating there since there are better restaurants in town so plan to go before or after lunch.
