This is a great spot for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Every morning they have freshly-baked pastries. The best are the english muffins and morning buns. It is our favorite dinner spot, and they use locally grown and seasonal ingredients wherever possible. Our favorite is the gnocchi salad, kale salad and short ribs. They also have delicious cocktails!

This is the best breakfast restaurant in town. There is usually a wait, and they won't take reservations on the phone, so get there early and put your name in. The best items are the Santa Fe cakes and the Santiago Skillet.

This is the best coffee shop in town. They have tasty coffee, a variety of breakfast options, ample seating and a friendly staff. We recommend the breakfast sandwich!

White House Pizza is a must during your visit in Carbondale. They've got an impressive variety of pies for meat-lovers and vegetarians, from alfredo to pesto. Our fave is the "mean and green" and the "get your goat."

Parks & Nature
This is my go-to hiking trail, since it is only 5 minutes from our house. It is a great running trail as well. Cross highway 82 and you'll see the parking lot. From there, you can head up the dirt road and you'll see the trail head on your left. The trail immediately forks. The path to the left is steep and shorter, with better views of the Valley. The path to the right is a longer route with more variety. It is dog-friendly too!
