Paradise Springs Winery is tucked in Old Town Clifton. They provide live bands, indoor wine tasting tours/ outdoor vineyard tours and snacks like bread and cheese to go with a bottle of wine. They are open when there is snow on the ground or sun/rain in the sky. They will allow outside food to be brought on site.

Between the sunflower maze and enormous fields containing 30 different sunflower varieties, there so much to see at the Burnside Farms in Nokesville, Virginia.
Head there early in the day in Spring and Summer to pick the best blooms ($1.50 per stem), which you can then take home to style into beautiful arrangements.

Open to the public for lavender picking in June and early July. They have various lavender shop hours outside the season.
Be amazed with over 50 different lavender products...most of which are made right on the farm. Its definitely a beautiful farm day you will remember all year.
Make sure to try the lavender infused lemonade, ice cream or cookies. Take time to make a lavender sachet, wreath or just watch everyone else from the shaded area on the porch

Pyrite Mine Trail Loop (PMTL) is a 7.6 mile lightly trafficked cluster of trails that together make up the "loop". There are other trails that shoot off of the loop for challenges and distance challenges. It features historical placards, waterfall, shade and is good for all skill levels, even if you are restarting after an injury. Definitely stop at the Visitor Center which is 1/4 mile from entrance, for detailed trail map. The trail offers a number of activity options and is accessible year round. You can bring an inner tube and float away on the river (nice and slow).
National Park opens at 9A with a cost of $10/car or $7 bike or walking into park.
