Places to go on Roosevelt Island
Beautiful view of both Manhattan and Queens along with the East River. If a runner, you can run from our apartment to this park (less than a mile) and run back to enjoy the other views you can see on the island! A great place to just sit and relax! Especially during hot, summer days!

The Cornell Tech Campus is very spacious, full of green and also cafes and chairs available for public use!

Are you hungry/thirsty and want to enjoy the view of Manhattan? This cafe has much more reasonably priced food, drinks (including coffee) than Starbucks.
Totally recommended to sit in the outdoor seating area when it's sunny outside!

For those Starbuck addicts and/or those who are either to collect those gold stars--- we also got a Starbucks on the island too! Right next to the station, so convenient with seating inside and outside.

A park with a lighthouse at the northern tip of the island.
You can either walk there or take the free red shuttle bus to Octogon and walk from there. Great view of the Upper East Side, and Astoria!
