Sightseeing
This would be the closest beach to the house. They do rent paddle boards here. Due to the drought lake levels are significantly down but this year the lake has risen quite a bit.

The closest ski resort and one of the best. A little local secret, better parking and less people, go to the Califonia-side lift. Not the gondola.

Great park for kids. Play sets, skate park, mountain bike course, etc. There is a short cut to get here if you walk. Left on Janet Street, right on Glenwood, just a little ways down on the left you will see an opening and a huge meadow. This trail takes you right to the park.
