The space offers a line-up of exhibitions, parties, workshops and hosts craftsmen, painters and singers. The purpose of the Livart is to provide the general public, art enthusiasts and professionals a warm and unique exposure space. The center is open to the public and we encourage our resident artists to interact directly with visitors. We also organize monthly open house days and art openings.

This sanctuary (free entrance) is one of the world’s most visited centres of pilgrimage! The basilica’s huge dome reaches 97 meters and is second only in height to Saint Peter’s Basilica in Rome. Saint Brother André, a humble doorkeeper, inspired its construction in 1904. Dedicated to Saint Joseph, the shrine includes among other things, the small original chapel, a votive chapel, a crypt church, the Basilica and the gardens. Its magnificent organs and its carillon composed of 56 bells give audible testament to the world’s great composers. The Museum of Saint Joseph’s Oratory (fees applicable) is well-known for its multicultural collection of some 200 nativity scenes on permanent exhibition.

Wide range of local & imported beers on tap, plus whiskies & pub grub, in a comfy & rustic setting. I would recommend the food as well. My favourite Chevre D'O'Malie never failed me. The salads and sandwiches are great as well.

Sushi Momo is my new absolute favorite place to eat sushi! Every vegan bite is a heavenly experience. And when I say it's the best, I don't mean compared to other vegan sushi, I mean compared to any other sushi I've had in Montreal (or elsewhere, for that matter). You can't just eat and go; no, you absolutely have to stop, close your eyes, and appreciate the different flavors and textures, and how they combine. I've gone twice and have been blown away both times! The place is a little small and stuffy though, but they compensate nicely with lots of wood, plants and eclectic Asian art. Be sure to make a reservation well in advance, especially on the weekend.

Vegans and anyone else would love this place! The food is amazing, the juices are fresh and delicious and the service is excellent! Nice atmosphere inside and the terrasse. For brunch, lunch or diner this is the place to go. They also have a "to go" counter which offers the same menu and more!

Built in 1923-24 to plans by Montréal architect Joseph-Raoul Gariepy, the Rialto is inspired by Le Palais Garnier (Opéra de Paris). The building comprises several rooms and activities include concerts, theatre, cinema, dance performances, exhibitions, and private events, all in a lush environment that boasts marble staircases, painted ceilings, gilded moldings, and a Tiffany stained-glass dome. *** One of the last great movie palace theatres in Eastern Canada. It was once falling apart, but it has been lovingly restored and now hosts shows of various sorts. If you happen by and they're open but don't have an event going on, see if you can invited in for a quick tour; it's well worth it.
