Mi Madre's is such an awesome example of a local business. It has been on Manor Road for many years, and is owned by the friendliest people around. Great Mexican food for breakfast tacos or dinner.

Cherrywood is a perfect coffeehouse that has a great community vibe. They serve a full food, wine and beer menu as well. Sunday mornings they have kids music, and it gets crowded, FYI.

Eastside Cafe is highly recommended! This is a great place to go for a nice, classy meal. American food menu in an old house with a big garden where they grow some of their food. Very local.

You've probably heard of it. It's famous, it has long lines and awesome brisket. Get in line at 9 AM and wait for your food, they sell out around noon. You can drink beer while you wait if you want.

The coolest of cool award goes to Sahara Lounge. It's an out of the way dive bar that is full of locals of all types. Very welcoming, live music, patio and lots of local flavor.
