Within 3 min walk of the Aviva Stadium, where the 1st ever rugby international was played, during the November Internationals and 6 Nations Championships the surrounding streets are covered with people spilling out from the bars, making my place the perfect base for a travelling fan or tourist looking to soak up the festive atmosphere.

Frequented by the late poets Patrick Kavanagh and Brendan Behan, and more recently UFC superstar Conor McGregor and actress Chloe Moretz, highlights include the famous gastro-pub Searsons, packed for matches in the Aviva, Doheny and Nesbitt bar, with their live trad music, and Xico's nightclub, buzzing on Monday's with half price everything. Look up the infamous 'Baggot St Mile' if you're boozy.
