I've known the Avilas for decades. They have restaurants in Corona del Mar, Newport Beach, Costa Mesa. But we like the one run by son Michael just blocks from our house. Great Margaritas, of course.

A favorite of ours and many locals. Splashes Bar is right on the water. But our favorite is the lounge on the street level next to the lobby where you can have homemade tacos for lunch.
