Walking from our house it is nice to visit Marquette castle. This has recently become accessible to the public for a cup of coffee, lunch or a luxury dinner.

In Heemskerk we are proud of the beautiful gardens laid out in Louis XIV style around the Assumburg castle dating from 1546, now used as a hostel. If there is no wedding, you can just walk in here for coffee or a beer. And you can also enjoy a cup of coffee in the visitor center "Het Koetshuijs".
