Family adventure
Plan a day to explore the sandy sleeping bear dunes! Kids love running down the dunes toward the water! Panoramic breathtaking views of Lake Michigan from the top of dunes is worth the trip all on its own!
Sleeping Bear Dunes
My family all time favorite trip!🚴From taking ferry⛴boat ride to the island (just 2 1/2 hrs north from Interlochen) to riding bikes 🚴around island to horse & buggy carriage rides, there is no place like this special island! You feel like you’ve gone back to 1800’s with no cars allowed..it’s life in simpler times which makes this one of a kind experience..spend a day or even better stay overnite in one of many quaint historic turn of the century hotels. Most famous is the “Grand Hotel” which lives up to its name!
Try famous fudge and tour the Mackinac Fort from the French & Indian war.. Truly an unforgettable island that you will want to come back to! I’ve been going here since my childhood and now my kids love it
