The Dulce & Brose Restaurant, part of the Bosville Hotel, is a lovely place to eat, with great food and drink. The main bar has a fine selection of Gin and Whisky. The restaurant serves really good food that is mid-priced for the region.

Consistently in The Times 'Top 100 places to eat in the UK', The Three Chimneys has a deserved reputation for fine dining and excellent hospitality. It is the oldest Inn on the island, having opened in 1790. The Mallaig fresh haddock (fish) and chips is delicious. In the summer, you can sit outside on the loch shore and enjoy the subset. The Sligachan pub is famous for its simple but friendly layout, welcoming mountaineers fresh (or rather exhausted) from completing the famous but gruelling Cuillin Ridge. It is a place for mountaineers, wet dogs and hearty food, so don't expect fine dining. However, if you want to have a point and soak up the atmosphere, the pub regularly has live music during the summer months.

The Sligachan pub is famous for its simple but friendly layout, welcoming mountaineers fresh (or rather exhausted) from completing the famous but gruelling Cuillin Ridge. However, if you want to have a point and soak up the atmosphere, the pub regularly has live music during the summer months.

A very popular attraction, the distillery conducts tours throughout the summer months (Apr - Sep), which are interesting for the whole family. It also sells all kinds of whisky related gifts, including the several types of Talker whisky!

It is a 10-15 minute drive from the house and is an amazing day out, suitable for the whole family. The historic seat of the Clan McLeod, visitors can look around ten different buildings dating from 1200 to the 1850's. Tickets for the Castle and Gardens are £13 for adults and £9 for children. The castle has a good collection of beautiful paintings, heirlooms, including the legendary Fairy Flag and interesting artefacts including historic weapons. The formal gardens are fabulous.

The vivid blues and greens of the pools suggest an unnatural origin. They are a popular place for wild swimmers.' From the large car park, walk approx 1.5 miles (2.5km) up a wide and well established track. The path is bordered with grass, heather, peat and rocks. You can stop and admire the largest waterfall that marks the location of the Fairy Pools, or walk further up the path and explore some of the smaller pools that lie above.
