We think the cappuccinos and hot chocolate are amazing here after a visit to the market on Thursday and Saturday morning or anytime we are shopping in Witney.

This a local pub with a good restaurant - you can even walk across the fields but you need a good torch to get back unless you go for lunch!

The Bull has a great bar with sofas around a fire. It also has a fabulous restaurant. It is very popular for lunch and dinner but you can get a great breakfast there from 08.00 to 11.45.

These are incredible remains of a Roman Villa. A site not to miss with free entry and a 45 minute walk away or less than 5 minutes drive.

The park offers amazing walks; there is a maze, outdoor chess and adventure playground in the pleasure gardens. The palace is also open to visitors - Winston Churchill spent a lot of time with his family here.

Its where The Bothy is. You can wake up in the morning at The Bothy and look out of the windows and see deer on the lawn! The footpaths are excellent in all directions.

Witney is 10-15 minutes drive away and is an attractive market town (vegetable and basic clothes and provisions markets on Thursday and Saturday mornings). There is a large Waitrose supermarket as well as a Marks and Spencer and other high street shops and a large multi-screen cinema.
