Pack a lunch and the kiddo's for a great day at the Zoo! You can walk the whole thing or take a tram, interact with some aniamals, enjoy great resturants and of course an amazing gift shop!

Sightseeing
La Jolla in general is beautiful! Walking along the beach at the cove is spectacular, you'll see lot's of seals in the water playing , sun bathing on the beach, just around the corner is great snorkling & kayak tours, they take you in some of the caves. It's a must to visit the Cove gift shop, for a couple bucks you can walk down a lot of steps into a cave with beautiful views.

Hotel Del is fun to visit, with so much history from all the movie stars that have stayed, movies that have been filmed there, to the ghost stories! It's on a beautiful beach so make it a day to explore, lots of great resturants, bike riding etc. You can take a ferry across rom downtown San Diego and rent a bike or drive over the Coronado bridge.
