Skarven is an "institution" in Tromsø, located right at the harbour. It contains a pub serving beer and light dishes, where locals often meet during the day and afternoon (often crowded Friday after work), a cotail bar for late evenings and two excellent restaurants: Arctandria for Seafood and Biffhuset for Steak.

This is my favourite place in Tromsø, as you get three excellent experiences in one: start with a drink in the pub, then go for dinner in one of the two restaurants (grilled dry cod is my favrouite in Arctandria), and end the evening in the coctail bar.
This is the one of the closest restaurants, with approx 15-20 min walk from the apartment.
5 min by bus: Take route 34 from the Apartment (Bjerkavervegen) to the bus terminal (route 33 back again).

The locally harvested Arctic seaweed cocktail is an experience not to be missed. Built as early as 1868 as a bakery, then used as Troms’ first cinema, Bardus sits in historic surroundings.

Due to its very central location and high quality, I recommend the bistro for lunch and the bar if you are in search for a late evening drink.
