If you fancy a long walk (or even a run) along the river, then it is worth going down to Richmond Lock. It is truly a wonderful sight that takes you back in time, especially at dawn or sunset.

To get to it, simply catch a bus from either Chiswick Park Bus Garage, or Turnham Green terrace. The journey takes approximately 15 to 20 minutes.

To get to it, you might consider taking the District Line tube from Chiswick Park to Ealing Broadway, and changing to the Central Line. This will get you to any of: Marble Arch, Bond Street, Oxford Circus or Tottenham Court Road. All of which are actually located on or off Oxford Street.
