Excellent hiking and dedicated single track mountian bike trails within biking distance from my house. Trail head is located on Old Pine Tree Cemetery RD just before highway 89 overpass. Ample parking and there are no use fees.

Excellent hiking and dedicated single track mountian bike trails within biking distance from my house. Trail head is located on Old Pine Tree Cemetery RD just before highway 89 overpass. Ample parking and there are no use fees.
Trues Brook is no babbling brook — the current rushing over the rocks creates small waterfalls and deep pools. Although the trail is well marked, it is steep and slippery. The Ledges, while beautiful to behold, the rocks can be sharp and slippery. A better immersion spot with a pool of water is few thousand feet farther down the brook. From Route 12A, drive 0.6 of a mile on Trues Brook Road and you’ll see a turn-off on the right side. Follow the path down a few minutes to a cropping of rocks in Trues Brook known as Trues Ledges.
