An alternative for coffee in the morning, 800m easy walk South of the unit. I believe the main restaurant has just changed cuisine to Mexican but the complex has been a famous wedding venue for years in the area.

Patrolled beach 365 days a year, local surf club for beers, a range of high quality restaurants for evening or weekend dining, french patisserie, gelato bar or fish and chips. Being 2.5km from the unit, the adventurous can walk the distance along the beachside boardwalk (30min), or hire a bike from the lobby for a 10 min ride, or alternatively make the short drive (5 min). The surf club also has a courtesy bus available.

Please please please check restaurant service hours before you go, they tend to change seasonally. Best to take the Tweed Coast Way for the nice coastal drive there.

If you want to jump out of a perfectly good airplane head 45 min south down to Skydive Byron Bay at Tyagarah airfield!
