Warning: Not all Taco Shops are created equal! Humberto's has the best rolled tacos and machaca burritos. This taco shop is open 24 hours a day and on a weekend night you'll find everyone coming here after the party.

I actually prefer this Italian restaurant over the ones in Little Italy. It's located in Southpark in the middle of a residential neighborhood. The restaurant is packed and loud and there's always Italian families dining there. Buona Forchetta will not disappoint. You may have to wait to be seated.

Okay, so you do go to Little Italy and you do want Italian food. There are numerous options but the original Italian go to place there is Filippi's. Filippi's is the only restaurant that has it's own dedicated parking lot too.

This is tiny hole in the wall on Imperial Avenue, only a few blocks away. They don't serve beer but you can take your own and sit in the outdoor patio in the back. It's very clean and the seafood is inexpensive and authentic. Order a Mexican Style Shrimp Cocktail.

El Carrito is situated in front of a Victorian home and the lot was bought by a former owner after World War II who restored it into a restaurant. El Carrito gets its name from its structure. The restaurant is an old cable car from the 1930s. This region has a lot of history and El Carrito definitely contributes to this history.
The story of El Carrito was highlighted and brought to life by community artist, Salvador “Queso” Torres. He spoke about the importance that El Carrito had in Barrio Logan and the many purposes it served. Al Johnston bought and restored El Carrito when he found it at a construction lot. He was inspired by hollywood and the different types of unique restaurants that have been converted from one object of functionality to a restaurant.

SALUD! is an authentic Mexican/Chicano eatery located in Historic Barrio Logan. Their tacos are amazing and you must try the churro desert. They also have a diverse craft beer selection.
