This is not really classic London (more like New York!) - a thriving financial district with shopping centre. The riverside walk is nice. Very easy to get to on the 277 bus.

Now London's tallest skyscraper, the Shard has dramatically changed our skyline. Apparently the view from the top is breathtaking. Book online but beware: it's expensive!

There's no grander way to move between St Paul's Cathedral and the Tate Modern Art Gallery. It used to be called the wobbly bridge because it swayed - but they fixed that and now it's heavenly.
