On the corner, a short walk. Great clam chowder. There is a bar where you can eat, or be seated, also take home fish. Menu is loaded with every kind of fish possible. Not quiet but it is good!

It's next to the Belly Up Tavern; if you are going to the Belly Up and have dinner at the Wild Note, you are given preferred seating. Good restaurant, intimate.

Sprouts is a locally run supermarket. They also sell vitamins and nuts, etc. in barrels. Their prices are better than Whole Foods, which is right off of Via de la Valle.

Right off Via de la Valle exit on the east side. Upscale groceries with lots of good health. They also have a hot buffet, salad bar, and even a wine bar. Experts on vitamins. Not the lowest priced though!

Getting Around
The train can take you south to San Diego or north to LA. Beautiful ride up the coast, and they have a dining car and wifi.

Everything Else
Hwy 101, especially going north up the coast is full of restaurants and little shops. Encinitas is a small town with cute mom and pop places. Visit Swami's meditation gardens overlooking the cliffs; it's free but restricted hours.
Also, in Solana Beach, you can rent bicycles on Hwy 101.
