Super pub, very smart inside with great food and atmosphere. Ideally placed close to Dovedale and Ashbourne and only a 10 minute drive through beautiful countryside from the cottage.

The closest pub to the cottage,a few minutes drive.Good pub food and atmosphere with great outside space in the summer Recommend for out of season as does get busy with camp sites close by.

Great country pub in a lovely village; roaring log fires, friendly welcome and owner is the chef so food is excellent and varied.Lovely ride from the cottage taking in stunning scenery.

Ashbourne is only 20 minutes drive away and has many great, individual shops, cafes, restaurants and delis and as well as the usual supermarkets.
Excellent store for local produce; cheeses, delicatessen, bread,general supplies, great coffee.

Quintessential English manorial village with Hall,duck pond,craft shops,butcher's shop.Good place to wander around and is on The Tissington Trail cycle/ walking path that goes between Buxton and Ashbourne,super views from the trail and a good walk into Ashbourne particularly.
