Heather's favorite beach. A classic 1/2-mile stretch of light golden white sand with excellent waters for swimming or just bobbing on the waves. It's the real deal in the way of Hawaiian beaches!

The snorkelling near the Captain Cook Monument is superb at worst, worth the hike down the trail or a paddle in a kayak for those who don't hike. A dolphin pod often hangs out in this bay too =)

Snorkeling at "2-Step" is second to none on the island! Great reefs, fantastic clarity, lots of fish & easy access from the natural lava steps.

Go during high tide and there's a tide pool perfect for keiki (kids) to frolic about in. Plus, the waves crashing behind it are usually impressive. Perfect for sunset dinners!
