Fascinating historical military institute with a rich history and very interesting architecture. If you're lucky you might catch the cadets in formation on the Parade ground. The VMI Museum is a hidden gem in Jackson Memorial Hall, with cadet guided tours daily.

Liberty Hall Ruins is also an interesting piece of the University's history, located on the western edge of campus past the practice fields.
