Great burgers. Best to eat them in the restaurant. They are huge with lots of unusual toppings to choose from . The place is tiny with shared seating at times but very quirky in a great way. All lighting is provided by the dozens of neon signs terry has collected over the years, many of them from places originating here in Cincinnati.

Cincinnati isn't known for it's BBQ but this place alone puts us on the map. Some of THE best BBQ ever...even the Business Insider ranked as No. 3 in the country. Great take out food, a picnic, or hang out spot. This place is very popular, especially in the evening and on weekends so call your order in before you go (513) 533-1957, even if you plan to dine in (they have lots of great outdoor seating and a BYOB policy -so pick up a 6-pack on the way).

BEST MEXICAN EVER. This isn't your standard Tex-Mex place. I've never been south of the border but i imagine this is some pretty authentic Mexican food. Call ahead if you plan on going during typical meal times. You can always eat in anyhow, but the line can be super long if you are in a hurry...or starving.

Another very close grocery store. Kroger brand cheese and bacon are great budget options. The meat and produce selection is better here than the Remke's down the street.

Like Whole Foods but way more affordable. They don't have cuts of meat (stop by the Fresh Thyme Market on your way home to cover this base or anything else you might still need), but their produce is excellent. They also have a large selection of wines and beers, as well as cheeses and other locally sourced goodies. Look for the Shadeau breads they carry - it is a local bakery with great products - they go quickly though so plan accordingly.
