Fabulous hilly walks with views over Chichester and out to sea. There is parking and signed routes at this National nature reserve. Worth googling for more information on this interesting historic area! The Hare and Hounds at Stoughton is a long walk from the car park but great if you want a country pub to aim for !

17th century Petworth Mansion and park, with 700 acre Capability Brown landscaped deer park with panoramic views - stunning! Worth visiting if only to see the deer park - the house is set over looking the lake. Check opening times for the house if you wish to visit this as well.

The Goodwood Revival is also held here each year - if you are thinking of attending either event you need to book tickets in advance. Chichester is very busy during these events - but is also very good fun with a fantastic atmosphere. If you are attending The Revival for the first time I would recommend you google the outfits! Visitors really "go to town" with their outfits which makes it feel like you have gone back in time!
