Parks & Nature
Take the ferry here and make a day of it. This park is right on the water and has lots to offer including a soccer field RIGHT on the water, basketball courts, food and bars, this totally awesome swingset park that adults are TOTALLY (not at all but do it anyway) allowed to use, and some of the best views in Brooklyn.

If you brought a car, this is the each to be at. Beautiful views and less crowded than Rockaway and Coney Island. If you didn't bring a car, got to Rockaway, it's reachable by train.

This is a great park for playing soccer or running on the track. There is also space to lay out on blankets with friends, read a book, or people watch.

Definitely one of my favorite places to be in the city. Walk around in an elevated garden and if you are lucky maybe they are doing a nighttime event while you're in the city.
