Food Scene

This place is lovely but very popular in the Summer Months as it has tables outside overlooked by the splendid Abbey. It is best to plan ahead and prebook at these times. The menu is varied and well thought out and the staff are friendly and helpful.

This is a great place to eat breakfast (They do a great bacon butty but there are veggie options). Or lunch overlooking the river. There is also a small gift shop and local delicacies are on offer. If you run out of supplies of milk and bread you can buy this here. Also take away sandwiches.

You may not wish to try the whole 177mile trail along the Welsh boarders but it is there if you cannot resist. The 8-9 mile hike from Chepstow to Tintern is challenging enough. Or you could take a climb to Devil's Pulpit for a great view over the Abbey.
