For a taste of Berlin quirkiness and HIGH-quality cakes, candies, beverages etc go to Staalvand. It can get very crowded, but an outside eat under the colored lamps is a great treat in the summertime.

Go to Torvehallerne for the city's best food market. Take Bus 5c or 350s to Nørreport. 10-15 minutes. They have lot's of great treats - either to eat there or produce to buy and prepare yourself at home.
