I think Michael Recchiuti chocolate is one of the best in the world. http://www.recchiuti.com/ And he is based in San Francisco in our neighborhood. Their hot chocolate is one of my favorites!

Good breakfast place on 22nd. Great beignets. Also, beware of any brunch places in SF on weekends. You have to get there before 10 if you want to wait less than an hour.

First, Cupid's Span is a wonderful art piece next to the Bay Bridge AND if you have the chance to come here at night, you can see the new light installation on the Bay Bridge from dusk to 2am.

At the intersection of 19th Street and Texas Street, is one of the best views of downtown San Francisco and you can walk to it from our place!

If you are looking for something less touristy, where the locals go to walk their dog, you will find a fantastic 360 view of the city. The best way to get here is to drive up Bernal Heights Blvd.

Thought seriously touristy, there is some great shopping and it is a fun place to walk around and people watch even for the locals. And of course you can ride a cable car! :)

Entertainment & Activities
They redid the academy in recent years and it has great exhibits. It's also across from the De Young and the Japanese Tea Garden. It can get pretty touristy though so I'd try to go during the week.
