Downtown Frederick has some great restaurants, walk along the waterfront, enjoy your favorite beverage. There's something there for everyone but it isn't usually a place that people venture. Best for weekend travel to avoid rush hour.

Hop on the METRO at Shady Grove and travel downtown. Most of the museums are free on the Mall (between the Capitol and Lincoln Memorial) It's history in the making every day. Wear comfortable shoes for walking or uber from one place to the next!
