New owners recently took over the Jenner Inn and opened a new restaurant and bar. It's just down the hill, and open for lunch and dinner. We like it.

You kinda just have to experience this place to understand it. They offer self-serve homestyle Russian food (on the Russian River, of course), communal and private seating, beer and wine. And you pay what you want. We think it's worth plenty.

River's End sits atop a coastal cliff. It's the perfect place to take in coastal views for lunch, happy hour, and a it's very nice treat for dinner.

Worth going for the acreage alone. Really beautiful landscapes. The wine's pretty good, too.

Penny Island was once home to a cattle ranch, serviced by a small barge that shuttled livestock across the river. Now you can grab a kayak and paddle across to explore the little island in the river as it lagoons just before it hits the Pacific.
