This museum has one of the best IMAX theaters in Austin as well as collections about Texas music, film, culture, and history. It is home to the La Belle, a French ship that sank in Matagorda Bay in 1686. The room in the museum was specifically built to house the remnants are artifacts from this ship which highlights the influence early European explorers had on the history of Texas.
