I found this place by accident one night doing touristy things with my parents in Fisherman's Wharf. It was a spectacular find and has become a tradition now when my parents come back to visit. It's a very nice, small Etruscan restaurant owned and run by the chef. He'll come out to talk to you after your meal to make sure everything was delicious (it was, I assure you). Great wine selection, too. Can't recommend this place highly enough.

Wine country! Sonoma county has beautiful rolling hills dotted with lush vineyards that supply a lot of California's wine. Most vineyards have a tasting room, and all of them will get you to try their "tasting clubs". If you're into getting wine shipped to you on a regular basis right from the vineyard, it's maybe worth considering. Worth checking out if you have the time (and designated driver!) for the trip. Monterey Bay Aquarium is about a two or three hour drive south of the City, but if you're looking to do something different and want to take a day, Monterey Bay and this aquarium are a great choice. This aquarium is one of the best in the world
with a ton of unique animals and exhibits to see and interact with. It sits on Cannery Row which itself is a cool spot to explore.

Yep, San Francisco has a zoo! A pretty good one, too. Take a few hours and check out the wild animals just living in a major city.

Really fun and unique indoor putt-putt venue! Great date night spot or just to hang out, grab a beer, and play some putt-putt.
