Beautiful walk on the pier, slide down to the sand (or walk), let the kids play at the park and grab a cup of clam chowder from Woolys or Splash Cafe.

It is always warm in Avila Beach! One of my favorite beaches around with awesome piers and food choices! If you are lucky you might even catch a view of the incredible humpback whales that enjoy feasting in the water here year round. December through April you might catch gray whales as well during their annual migration.

Late October through February you MUST see all the Monarch Butterflies that migrate here at least once in your lifetime! After walking around the trails enjoying butterflies you can continue out and walk right to the beach!
