Great food in a warm space. I love the grilled cheese sandwich (with avocado) with tomato soup and a side salad for lunch! Brunch is great too (get there at 7:45, just before they open, and put your name on the list - try the eggs in jail). Dinner reservations need to be made in advance.

Ocean Beach stretches south to our neighborhood, but most visitors are here, especially on warm nights because bonfires are allowed in great city-maintained fire pits.

Go see the remains of what used to be San Francisco's outdoor baths. There are lovely hiking trails, beach access, and restaurants. This is walkable from the house if you want a bit of exercise.
