The Glenelg War Memorial is a grade A listed sculpture - a splendid bronze sculpture comprised of three figures: a Cameron Highlander, beseeching female figure and winged Peace raised upon a stone plinth. Upon closer observation one can see the symbolism of an epic tragedy: a smashed crown, a strangled dove and ruptured drumskin. The soldier looks forlorn and winged victory is holding her laurel wreath well out of reach.
