This is the iconic cafe in Palo Alto. Very popular place to meet with a friend or investor. The spicy mocha is delicious. Note: if you're meeting someone here, be aware that there's a second Coupa Cafe two blocks away. Make sure you're headed to the same one!

In-N-Out is a California staple. Fast food, but pretty delicious burgers. Look up the "secret menu". Many people like their cheeseburgers "animal style" (with grilled onions).

Drinks & Nightlife

Big portions. Food is heavy but tasty. Beware: if something says spicy, they're serious about that. I love spicy food and I only order their least spicy option. At night, it strangely turns into a cool bar at night. Average age on friday/saturday nights is probably late 20s to 30s.

This is Palo Alto's one and only dance club. The nice part is that if you want to escape the music, there's a huge outdoor patio that's much quieter. Apparently has good happy hour too, but I've never tried it.

Good place to get a beer. Has sort of a beer garden feel. Gets a little packed. It's very hard to find -- you enter from a parking lot. When you get near by, save yourself the trouble and ask someone for help.

Sightseeing

If you want a quintessential picture at a big tech company, this is your best best. There's a big Facebook "LIKE" sign at the front that you can take your picture in front of (security is very tolerant of this). On Saturdays from 2 to 5pm, there's a Facebook Farmer's Market open to the public. It's less of a farmer's market and more of a fair / party.

Arts & Culture

A tiny little museum you could walk by dozens of times and never really notice. Has some cool artifacts from a long time ago. The exhibit changes every six months ("History of Film", through Feb 26, 2017). Neat for little kids too. It's only a block from the unit, why not check it out? Only open friday - sunday.
