If you like the smelll of grilled meat and fish from the barbecue you will love Julius Bar & Grill Amsterdam. I can highly recommend the spare ribs which are so tender. Yummy!

Pllek Amsterdam is made of an old warehouse and shipping containers. Completed with tons of sand, beach chairs and picnic tables it is nice to have a beer in the sun. Every Sunday they have live music

This is my go-to coffee bar to get a decent espresso and kick-off the weekend. And based on what I've heard from my girlfriend, they also serve some pretty nice cappuccino's !

Little Collins Amsterdam is one of my favourite brunch hotspots. Every Thursday and Friday they serve a great shared dining menu with international flavours. Tip: Korean style beef tartar with nori.

Club Canvas is located on the rooftop of the Volkshotel. Until 11 pm this cool rooftop club is a restaurant & bar. After 11 pm the tables are put aside and the DJ takes over the booth.

New summer hotspot in town :-). Waterkant Amsterdam the new cafe restaurant under the Q-park garage. This spot is perfect for sunny weather but also cosy during the wintertime.

Amsterdam has a few great city beaches a Roest is one of my favourite. It's located in an industrial area with old warehouses. It has a laid back and relaxed vibe with an edge. Love it!

Disco Dolly is the ‘new’ place in town where you can go dancing all days of the week. Perfect for students! Since the whole place is covered with Persian rugs, the interior is really cool and dark.

The best place to marvel at the multicultural scene is the Albert Cuypmarkt, Amsterdam's largest market. You can reach the market by foot, since its only minutes away. Do not forget to try the haring!
