Walk through this park to get a taste of NYU students, local artists, and relaxing visitors. There's almost always free music and endlessly interesting people watching to be done.

Food Scene

Right next door, Mocha offers free wifi on weekdays. It's super cozy and comfortable for coffee, a meal, or wine. Be warned, there's only one electrical outlet at the bar on the left!

Hands down the best Vietnamese sandwiches in town. This refined hole in the wall is a must. Their Zon, vegetarian, and chicken sandwiches are all amazing.

This cuisine hails from the Xi'an region of China--their noodles are handmade with love. You can order things like tingly lamb faces... I usually opt for the vegetarian Mount Qi noodle soup.

Amazing ramen. You might have to wait up to 2 or 3 hours on a peak night, so arrive at an odd hour. It's a little pricier for ramen, but worth it!

Great vegetarian cooking. There's also a lovely yoga studio (The Bhakti Center) and cooking school (Bhagavat Life) located within the building.

Drinks & Nightlife

I used to go here all the time while I was in undergrad. These days, I'll avoid Ace on weekends, but this is a great spot to shoot pool, play darts, skeeball, big buck hunter. Good beer selection!
