Great little indie coffee shop. They are definitely passionate about what they do and super friendly. A nice place to hang out for a while.

The only pub in the area that feels like a real neighborhood pub and not a sports bar (although there are TVs). Live music many nights.

Parks & Nature
This part of the beachfront is our absolute favorite spot to hang out. There is a tree-lined area of the beach just east of the sailing centre that is perfect on a hot/sunny day and offers stunning views of downtown, the mountains, the ocean and beyond. The Sailing Centre itself has a restaurant on the upper level - the food itself is typical grill style food - but the patio seating overlooking the ocean is the real reason to eat here.

There is a tree-lined area of the beach just east of the sailing centre that is perfect on a hot/sunny day and offers stunning views of downtown, the mountains, the ocean and beyond. The Sailing Centre itself has a restaurant on the upper level - the food itself is typical grill style food - but the patio seating overlooking the ocean is the real reason to eat here.
If you want a lovely garden setting to wander around this is a great place to do it. Lunch in their cafe or restaurant is also a very relaxing thing to do.

One of the best views of and in the city. Seasons in the Park is also a nice place for a fancy meal or just a drink. A wander around the garden or playing in the fountain at the top on a hot day is also recommended

Great views, a fun playground for the kids, and you can easily walk from Kits beach around Kits Point to Granville Island in about 1/2 hour.

A beautiful space showcasing NW history and a very large collection of First Nations artifacts and sculptures. There's usually a good travelling exhibit on display as well.
