Hikes and Walks

The Hertz Trail at lakeside is almost completely flat; a great place to go for a run or an easy bike ride. For a more challenging hike, check out the Chantrelle Trail which heads up the hills to a stunning overlook of Lake Whatcom.

This gorgeous spot has breathtaking views of Mt. Shuksan and the surrounding area on a clear day, just from the parking lot (which is inaccessible in winter). In summer, don't miss the Chain Lakes loop hike (~7 miles) departing from the point.

Что взять с собой

Bring flip-flops (or equiv) for the outdoor shower!

They're also great for dipping your toes in Lake Whatcom.
