The last thing you expect in Kingston is a James Beard acknowledged Jamaican restaurant. This is a great meal. Highlights are the jerk chicken, rice and peas, and plantains. the hot sauce is delightful

If you're looking to stay local in Kingston itself, you can see a list of the best hikes by googling "All Trails Kingston NY"
"Meyers Road and Wintergreen Trail Loop" is the MOST close to the property and simple
A short, cute one nearby is the Falling Waters Preserve.
Kaaterskill Falls is nearby, and has some really gentle hikes, or things that are slightly more challenging
