Oslo has a few islands in the Oslo fjord, and they are available with ferry on the same ticket as you use for the bus/tram/subway. The ferry/ferries leaves from Rådhusplassen/Aker brygge.

The old defensive fortress. Built by king Håkon Magnusson (the guy who made Oslo our capital, and who’s fault it is, indirectly, that Norway came under the Swedish crown) in the late 1290s, and was under its first siege in 1308.
