Close By Hikes and Walks
About a 3 minute drive from the house. (Take a left onto Route 23 out of the driveway. The parking area will be on your right.) Spectacle Pond Road is an easy walk. You can walk as much as you want (or drive or cycle to the pond). A good walk on a hot, sunny day, as there is much shade, since you are walking on a road through the forest.
Upper Spectacle Pond

A really great Mexican restaurant on Route 7 in Great Barrington. You can eat in or order take out. Yum!! About a 20 minute drive.

A great selection of chocolate and baked goods. Wine, beer, etc. Great flowers - and some lovely housewares, but a bit expensive. (Big Y, just next door generally has less expensive flowers.)
