Hipster town on the beach on the Mexican border. Great beach to walk and enjoy the eateries. Not recommended for swimming but the nature preserve is lovely and the beach heading to the border has hardly any people traffic.

San Diego downtown parking can be hard to find around the convention center. If you are looking to be a part of conventions and events, the red trolly stops through Chula Vista and takes you straight into the down town area hassle free.
