Freo markets are a must for the weekend filled with locally made food and handmade items! Open Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. It is easy to catch the train there from Cottesloe station.

Rottnest Island is the perfect day trip. Just take the Rottnest Express Ferry from Fremantle and see the cute Quokkas and rent a bike to ride around the island. There are some good snorkelling spots and eateries there too!
