McCurry Park North

Peaceful hike that is shaded. There is a decent amount of parking and it is paved. The trails are very well defined and there are some post markers along the way to tell you what trail you’re on. There are different trails you can follow, some of which have little creeks running along them, ponds, and small valleys. There is also a picnic area in a shaded field.

Unique collection of Gone With The Wind manuscripts, costumes & Civil War history exhibits.
Very interesting stop! If you like it appreciate the book and movie Gone with the Wind, you'll enjoy this place. Not expensive to visit the museum and it's not too big so you really only need maybe an hour to 90 minutes to view. Wonderful costume replicas as well as a few actual costume pieces.

Kind of subtle park nestled away from view until you turn and reach the crest of the hill and then you know...this was a battlefield. Feels quiet and solemn but deep in feel. Good to visit to keep it real of our past and the warriors who laid everything down for our future.
