Down & dirty grub that is cheap but actually also really tasty. Good selection behind the bar & often with live music in a variety of genres.

Arts & Culture

Museum and Art Gallery. I'm not a huge fan of the stuffed animals in the 'museum' section but it has some fascinating exhibits on Glasgow's history in the industrial age and the Rennie Mackintosh exhibit is certainly worth some time. The art is amazing-I especially like the French and Dutch rooms. Plus, there is a pretty spectacular organ which spans 2 stories and they give daily recitals at 1pm from Monday - Saturday and 3pm on a Sunday which is also cool to see. Plus- free entry! It's also situated in Kelvingrove park- they've lovely grounds for picnicing.

Shopping

If shopping is your thing, you're going to want to visit the 'Style Mile'. This runs from the top end of Sauchiehall Street, down Buchanan Street and into Argyle Street. You can absolutely shop till you drop, Buchanan Galleries for your general high street, Princes' Square for your high end, I love pressing my nose up against the glass in Vivienne Westwood's and House of Fraser for everything under one roof, including beautiful Scottish-made items. A bit pricey, but worth it.
